“The King’s Speech” is without a doubt the best movie I have ever seen. While I have seen believable acting before, I have never witnessed anything as fine as Colin Firth’s job in this film. I have never seen a bit of history portrayed so personally, and I have never felt a member of the royalty so deserved both my deep compassion and my complete respect. This film is a tribute to everything that is good and possible in humanity, and it is an even finer tribute to the profound values of true friendship. This film moved me, inspired me, and made me more whole. There may be movies I like better, but there will never be a movie that could rouse in me more admiration – both for the acting and cinematographic triumphs and for the noble portraits of what it really means to be human.
